Roof Replacement Process
Ever wonder what the process is of a roof replacement project? When our roofers are onsite for a roof replacement they are going to be performing the following tasks.
- Preparing the roof. The first step is to prepare the roof for installation. This includes removing any old shingles also known as the “Tear-Off”. We will then repair any damage to the roofing deck, and clean the roof.
- Laying the underlayment. Once the roof is prepared, the next step is to lay the underlayment. This is a waterproof barrier that helps to protect the roof from leaks and future water damage.
- Installing the shingles. The final step is to install the shingles. This is done by nailing the shingles in place, starting at the bottom of the roof and working our way up.
